Molecular biologist and biotechnologist in the field of soil microbial ecology. She is involved in the study of soil biodiversity, microbial ecology, integrated pest management, evaluation of impact on soil microbial community, and assessment of a new tool for the detection of bio-inoculants in soil. Co-authored more than 45 IF-indexed papers, most of which in journals with IF 4.0-6. Her h-index is 21. She published papers and proceedings in national and international peer-reviewed not IF-indexed journals and is author of ~80 abstracts of contributions at national and international conferences. She authored 3 book chapters. She was PMO of Excalibur Project (Grant n. 817946), and she is actually deputy Coo. of SPIN-FERT project (Grant n.101157265). She is Associated Editor of Frontiers in Microbiology, Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Applied Microbiology; Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers in Microbiotechnology. She was member of the EIP-AGRI FG36 on soil salinity. She is authors of two patents and is involved, as task or WP leader, in several EU and national projects.
